Yong-hu, a world champion martial artist who believes in no God, only himself, suddenly develops stigmata on his palms. Visiting a church in hopes of healing the stigmata, he ends up saving Father Ahn, who falls into danger while performing an exorcism. In this way he learns of the power of the stigmata. As time passes Yong-hu accepts his new calling and begins saving people who are possessed by demons, but then he must prepare for a final confrontation with the evil Jisin, who ensnares people with the power of the devil.

Set in 1969 at the end of the Vietnam War, elite officer and war hero Colonel Kim Jin-pyeong is about to get promoted to general. He is a constant subject of jealousy, with the commander for a father-in-law and a beautiful wife. But in truth, his affection for his wife has subsided and he is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder from the war. One day, Jin-pyeong encounters Ga-heun, the wife of one of his captains, and falls into a fatal and obsessive love affair that forces him to give up everything he had achieved.

The film mainly follows the famous 1597 Battle of Myeongryang during the Japanese invasion of Korea (1592-1598), where the iconic Joseon admiral Yi Sun-sin managed to destroy a total of 133 Japanese warships with only 13 ships remaining in his command. The battle, which took place in the Myeongryang Strait off the southwest coast of the Korean Peninsula, is considered one of the greatest victories of Yi.

13 years after the King Injo Revolt, the Chosun Dynasty is attacked by the Chung Dynasty of China. A young man named Na-mi leaves his demolished village to find his young sister, Ja-in, and her finance Su-koon, who were to wed on the very day of the attack. While on his mission to rescue her, he is being traced by Jushinta, a fierce Chung Warrior, and his band of malicious men who are out to stop him. Na-mi has but a day to rescue his sister before she is taken away to be a slave. When Na-mi finally finds his sister, Jushinta comes between them and a fierce battle between two of the finest warriors unfolds.

In ‘A Brave New World’, a virus brings the city to ruins and zombies flood the streets of Seoul. In ‘The Heavenly Creature’, a robot reaches enlightenment while working at a temple, but its creators deem this phenomenon a threat to mankind. In the final segment, ‘Happy Birthday’, a young girl logs onto a strange website and places an order for a new billiard ball for her father. Soon afterwards a meteor heads toward Earth and people flee to underground bomb shelters.
