Robert Eastwood is an innocent, brought up in a world of Born Again Christianity that’s taught him to look for signs and to believe evil in waiting just outside the front door. When he goes to school he’s shocked to discover that no one else thinks the world was made in 7 days or that Jesus will be returning. Caught between his Mother, who’s determined to bring Jesus’ love to a dead mining town, and his best friend Marcus who’s introduced him to teenage rebellion Robert becomes the centre of a spiritual tug of war as he tries to escape his religious beliefs. Four lost souls decide to end their lives on the same night, New Year’s Eve. When they meet unintentionally at the same suicide hotspot, they mutually agree to call off their plans for six weeks, forming an unconventional, dysfunctional family.

This comedy follows Sam, as her life is turned upside down on a big night out. When reunited with her old college friends, Sam is forced to re-evaluate her life and constructs an elaborate façade in order to convince herself and her friends that she has it all. But once her dysfunctional yet devoted trio of best mates intervene, her carefully crafted charade begins to crumble amidst the shots, cigarettes, ciders and toilet transgressions. Faced with some very harsh realities, Sam must struggle to remain true to herself and reassess exactly what she wants from life.
