Birkoff tells Nikita and Michael that a black box file reveals that an international terrorist named Ramon, who has been taking credit for some serious political assassinations, now works for Division. This news upsets Nikita since she was the agent that captured Ramon years ago and turned him over to Percy. Amanda convinces Alex to kill Anton Kochenko, a man who used to work for Alex’s father, and plans to let Ramon take the credit for the murder. However, when Nikita disrupts Amanda’s plan, Amanda fights back by taking what Nikita loves most.

While investigating an old corrupt Division program, P9, that seems to have resurfaced, Nikita and Michael run into Owen. He tells them he is searching for Dr. Joseph Mars, who is not only the mastermind behind P9, but also invented the Regimen and could help Owen wean himself off the dangerous drug. Michael is hesitant to trust Owen again but Nikita decides the three should join forces. Percy demands to see Alex.

Nikita and Michael plot to take down Division and Oversight and are prepared to use the contents of the black box to do so. Amanda is now running Division but Oversight has assigned one of their own, a new agent named Sean, to keep an eye on her. Amanda’s first mission is to get back the black box from Nikita, and she enlists Alex’s help to do so. Alex refuses until Amanda tells her she will help her find the man who killed Alex’s father. Meanwhile, Nikita and Michael find help from an unlikely ally.

Percy makes a move to take over the CIA, Alex goes rogue, and Michael gets trapped inside Division making him unable to help Nikita, who may have to pay with her life for helping Alex.

After Michael learns that Percy has ordered Divison to kill anyone who could decrypt the black boxes, he sends Nikita in to save the last person on the list, a CIA cryptographer named Malcolm. Nikita kidnaps Malcom and takes him to Ryan for protection. Meanwhile, Percy turns on Alex.

Frustrated that Nikita continues to intercept his black boxes, Percy sends Michael to check on one of the boxes and the guardian attached to it. Nikita makes it to the small Pennsylvania town first and is shocked to find that the guardian is a normal woman named Dana who has abandoned her post and is attempting to live a normal life with her husband and child. Tensions mount when Michael is forced to report Dana’s actions and Division swarms in to clean up any evidence of her existence. Meanwhile, Alex and Jaden get into an argument and Nathan gets caught in the middle.

Nikita believes it’s getting too dangerous for Alex at Division and decides its time Alex disappeared. Alex agrees but before the plan can be put in motion, she and Jaden are assigned to an overseas mission to stop the son of a foreign president from selling a newly developed nerve toxin. Things go awry and Alex must decide between saving the mission or saving herself.

Owen returns with information on one of Percy’s black boxes. Nikita returns to London with him to retrieve it but notices that Owen is acting strangely. Owen tells Nikita that he wants to release the contents of the black box and when Nikita disagrees, he turns on her. Meanwhile, Percy finds out Nikita is in London and dispenses Michael to kill her. Also, Amanda overhears Jaden arguing with Alex about the escape tunnels so she hooks Alex up to a lie detector to get the truth out of her once and for all.

Michael confronts Nikita in her lair and reveals that he knows Alex is the mole. He tells Nikita that she has 24 hours to find Kasim, the man who killed Michael’s family, or he will tell Percy about Alex…

In order to speed up her healing, Amanda sedates Alex after her last mission then takes advantage of Alex’s drugged condition to question her about the secrets Amanda believes Alex is keeping. Nikita realizes Alex is in danger and tries to secure her another identity to smuggle her out of the country. However, Nikita’s contact double-crosses her and she comes face to face with a surprising opponent. Meanwhile, Michael becomes suspicious of Alex and asks Birkhoff to investigate her.

While out on a mission for Division, Alex runs into Irina, a woman from her past. Alex tries to help Irina break free from her captor, but her old friend double crosses her and turns Alex over to Vlad, a Russian mobster, with a debt to settle. Nikita realizes Alex is in trouble and sets out to save her but runs into Michael who is searching for his missing agent. Realizing she can’t compromise Alex’s secret, Nikita must find a way to work with Michael to save Alex without getting her friend killed by Division.

Ryan intercepts information about a dangerous new weapon coming into the U.S. and asks Nikita to help him prevent its delivery. Nikita learns that the man bringing the weapon into the country is Voss, a man Division forced her to have a relationship with while working undercover. She reluctantly resumes her alter ego to prevent the missile from being delivered. Meanwhile, Michael interferes with Alex’s relationship with Nathan.

Alex’s first assignment is a group mission to kill the Prince of Georgia at a museum gala. After Alex tells Nikita about the order, the two devise a plan to foil the assassination. However, Nikita trusts the wrong person and their plans are foiled, resulting in a stand-off and alerting Division that Nikita is in the building. Percy sends Michael in to kill Nikita.

Now an agent, Alex gets a new apartment and is given a cover job. She meets her new neighbor Nathan who invites her to a party at his house. Nikita warns Alex about getting too involved with people but Alex struggles between her duties at Division and living a normal life.

Nikita realizes Division has implanted a kill chip in Alex’s head and sets out to gain control of the chip. While interrogating Birkhoff, Nikita stuns Ryan by revealing a secret.

Alex informs Nikita that Division is sending her on her first mission to kill the leader of a crime syndicate. Alex is uneasy about taking someone’s life but is reassured by Nikita who insists on helping her with the kill order. Birkhoff informs Percy and Michael when he discovers the shell program that a Division mole has been using to connect to Nikita in the outside world. When the mission doesn’t go as planned, Nikita makes a quick decision in an effort to clear Alex’s name. Inside Division, Jayden attempts to reveal Alex as the mole but Thom steps in and a shocking accident clears her name.

Owen leaks secret information from Division’s black boxes to the media, revealing that the U.S. Government was responsible for an assassination in Chile. As a result, Percy frames a C.I.A. agent, Ryan for the crime. Nikita and Owen go to Chile to rescue Ryan from mercenaries and in doing so end up getting captured. Nikita reveals the secrets of Division to Ryan in an effort to save all of their lives. Back inside Division, Alex spies on Percy and Birkhoff and witnesses a side to Percy she has never seen before.

Nikita and Michael temporarily team-up to kill a terrorist who murdered Michael’s family many years ago. When Percy learns this information, he sends Division agents to kill Nikita, who ultimately compromises the mission, leading to Michael’s capture by the terrorist group. Alex is caught going through medical files inside Division so she creates a lie that involves Jaden and almost blows her cover.

Division sends Thom to eliminate Anna, a woman who was having a secret affair with a U.S. Senator. Division agrees to cover up any trace of the affair as long as the Senator agrees to help pass a bill that will continue to fund the agency. Nikita, with Alex’s help, attempts to reach out to Anna’s parents, but the conversation doesn’t go as she expected.

Alex informs Nikita that one of the recruits has been activated to carry out a suicide mission.

A bus filled with Division recruits is attacked by terrorists who kidnap Alex and Thom, both of whom are unaware that this is a test by Division. Percy, Michael and Amanda watch as Alex is tortured. Alex breaks free and contacts Nikita for help. Meanwhile, Nikita has earned Owen’s trust and he reveals some devastating news to Nikita about her fiancé.

Divison’s secrets are at risk of being revealed to the world when Owen, a Division operative, escapes from a bank robbery and becomes a fugitive. Percy decides to search for Owen himself, which makes Michael suspicious of his motives. Nikita and Owen go head-to-head until Percy joins them for a tense standoff. Alex sneaks into Percy’s office to warn Nikita, but she is busted by Thom …

Nikita delves into her past when she posed as a nanny for an influential government official and decides to right the wrong of his death. During the mission, Michael comes to Nikita’s rescue and begins to doubt Percy’s motives…. Back at Division, while undergoing basic training, Alex suffers from a panic attack which prompts Amanda to break her of claustrophobia.

Nikita rescues Jill, a journalist who is trying to expose a conspiracy involving Division and a major plane crash. Michael and Percy suspect Birkhoff of being Nikita’s inside mole and send Amanda in to interrogate him….. Michael enlists the help of the recruits, Alex, Jaden and Thom, to help them locate their latest target.

Percy and Michael take their latest assignment, a Slavic leader wanted for war crimes, into protective custody. Nikita learns of their hideout and attempts to thwart their plan, but a mysterious group of mercenaries in search of nuclear material beats her to the task. Alex is activated earlier than expected for a special assignment that throws her into the crossfire of bullets. A flashback reveals a pivotal moment in Nikita’s life.

When she was a deeply troubled teenager, Nikita was rescued from death row by a secret U.S. agency known only as Division, who trained her as a spy and assassin. Nikita was eventually betrayed by the only people she thought she could trust. Now, after three years in hiding, Nikita is seeking retribution and making it clear to her former boss, Percy and her former friends Michael and Birkhoff that she will stop at nothing to expose and destroy their covert operation. Division continues to recruit and train other young people, among them Jaden and Thom, erasing all evidence of their former lives and turning them into cold and efficient killers. One of these new recruits, Alex is a beautiful girl with a violent past and a story not so different from Nikita’s. The recruits all spend part of their training with Amanda, a master manipulator who can turn any ugly duckling into a swan and any bleeding heart into a killer.

Angel arrives with an amulet which may be a weapon against the First. The battle-lines are drawn and the gang spends the night preparing for the final confrontation. A confrontation that some may not survive. Armed with an amulet they know nothing about, a scythe which holds the key to the Slayer line, and magicks which they may not be able to control, they prepare to face the assembled armies of the First Evil.

Buffy finds the weapon The First is keeping from her: a scythe embedded in stone. Buffy easily pulls it free much to Caleb’s dismay and The First tells Caleb to let her go. Faith and the potentials get caught in the explosion, leaving many dead and Faith unconscious. They are attacked by a few Ubervamps, but Buffy arrives and easily slays them all with the scythe, allowing everyone to escape. After giving Buffy his word, Xander leaves Sunnydale with Dawn against her will. Buffy and Spike are feeling awkward regarding the recent events, so she sets out for information on the scythe. She finds a tomb where she runs into an old woman. She tells Buffy how the scythe was created to destroy the last pure demon, but it was made in secret and hidden from the shadow men. Caleb arrives and snaps the woman’s neck. He and Buffy wrestle control over the scythe until he gets the upper hand. As he is about to strike, Angel knocks him down, and then stands back so Buffy can finish the fight.

After being kicked out of her house, Buffy walks alone and breaks into another house to get some sleep. Spike and Andrew return with news about the vineyard, but when Spike finds out what happened he hits Faith and leaves, trying to pick up Buffy’s scent. The First pays Faith a visit in the form of the Mayor, but she isn’t fooled. It tries to unbalance her by saying that Buffy still, and will always think of her only as a killer. Robin finds Faith and the two share a moment, which leads to them having sex. When Spike finds Buffy, they talk about her being rejected. She says that everytime she makes a decision, someone dies and that maybe Faith is best in charge. She tells him to leave, but he refuses, telling her what he knows about the vineyard and that he loves her. She tells him she just wants to be held, so they fall asleep in each other’s arms. The next morning Buffy pays Caleb a visit, prepared for what he throws at her. He tries to hit her time and time again, but is unable to since Buffy uses her superior speed against him. Finally Buffy discovers the item Caleb tried to hide from her.

Following Caleb’s attack, Xander is now blind in one eye. Buffy takes all the guilt and again encounters Caleb at the abandoned school. Faith presses her fun-loving nature on the potentials and takes them all to the Bronze, which leads to an argument between Faith and Buffy, culminating in forcing the potentials to choose between their two leaders, but because of Buffy’s recent decisions and behavior, they all side with Faith. Meanwhile, Spike and Andrew look into an abandoned mission and discover a plaque which reads: ‘It’s not for thee, It is only for her to wield’.

As they drive into town, Willow and Faith find themselves behind a truck. A young girl is thrown out with a deep wound and the truck drives off. The girl is unconcious so they take her to the hospital and report to Buffy. Faith’s arrival brings a lot of tension to Buffy’s house. All the potentials ask questions, but Faith is only interested in talking with Buffy. They clear the air and then receive a phone call from the hospital. The girl is called Shannon, she tells Buffy about a young preacher that saved her from bringers. He then called her dirty, branded her with his ring and stabbed her. Willow takes a photo of the mark from the ring. Shannon mentions the man’s message; that he has something that belongs to Buffy.

The gang discover that ‘Caleb’ is dwelling at a nearby vineyard with his bringers. They set out (against Giles’ advice) to confront him, but upon arrival Buffy gets knocked out in one punch. Caleb breaks Rona’s arm, before killing Molly and a few Potentials, then he approaches Faith knocking her out as well. Unable to defeat this terminator like foe, the gang retreats. But Xander gets caught and Caleb uses his thumb to squash one of his eyes.

In the aftermath of the fight Buffy wanders past her injured friends, knowing that they suffered a great defeat.

Giles returns with a device that will deactivate Spike’s trigger. It takes him into his past and shows the close relationship with his mother, who used to sing ‘Early One Morning’ to him. After he was sired by Drusilla he tried to save his dying mother by vamping her, but she turned on him and he had to stake her, leaving an emotional wound that has never managed to heal. When Buffy still refuses to believe Spike is a danger to them all, Robin asks Giles to help him get his revenge on Spike, leaving Buffy betrayed by the person she trusts the most.

Andrew creates “Buffy, Slayer of the Vampyres,” a documentary describing the current situation in Sunnydale to show to future generations. Many emotions are captured during its filming, from Willow and Kennedy’s make out fest to the recognition of what would be Xander and Anya’s 1 year anniversary. Meanwhile, the Hellmouth, or more appropriately, the Seal of Danzalthar, is activated causing outbreaks of violence and mystical occurrences at the high school. The gang forces Andrew to reveal his own past and come to terms with it to help stop the madness.

Principal Wood gives Buffy a bag of items that used to belong to his mother, the slayer killed on the subway by Spike. The bag contains many various items including weapons, a book, and a strange sealed box. After opening the box, Buffy and gang watch a puppet show that opens a portal sending Buffy to a strange land and leaving in her wake a demon. Buffy meets three men who offer her more power, but it doesn’t come freely. It’s up to Willow to get the portal open and Spike to get the demon back. Meanwhile, the Potentials are feeling the stress of the situation, and the First takes full advantage of this, with dire consequences.

Buffy goes on a dinner date with Principal Wood to try and find out what is really going on with him. After they are attacked and he shows off some fighting skill in dusting a few vamps, he explains that he is the son of a Slayer that was killed in New York. Xander, too, finds a date when he impresses a girl with his rope knowledge, however her interest in him is much more demonic. Meanwhile the First contacts Andrew in another attepmt to destroy the potentials and Giles finds himself tounge-tied with the new potential, Chao-Ahn.

After sharing a lingering kiss with would-be Slayer Kennedy, Willow bafflingly transforms into Warren and must confront the loss of Tara. When Spike’s chip begins to malfunction, he and Buffy take a trip to the Initiative stomping grounds, where they meet up with a few remaining soldiers who give her a choice of how to deal with the problem. Meanwhile, when Giles takes the Potentials on a self discovery retreat, the rest of the gang are stunned when they discover clues that lead them to believe Giles may be The First Evil.

Buffy and Spike begin to train the potential Slayers, while Willow performs a locator spell and discovers another potential at Sunnydale High. At first, it seems as though Dawn has been chosen, but she soon discovers that her friend Amanda is the one. Dawn helps Amanda fight off a vampire trapped in the school and then goes back to being a ‘normal’ person. Xander gives her an inspiring speech, which helps her deal with her missed opportunity.

More potential Slayers arrive at the house and one of them, Eve, creates tension as she openly voices their fear that Buffy alone cannot save them. Buffy and Xander discover the body of the real Eve and rush home to confront The First, and she warns them that the Turok-Han will be coming for them and disappears. Willow creates a barrier to keep it out, but it isn’t strong enough. Buffy runs one way as bait, while the rest of the gang escorts the potential slayers to Xander’s construction site to hide. The Turok-Han arrives at the site, but Buffy gets there just in time. She defeats Turok-Han and boosts the potentials confidence, but Spike is still missing.

After enduring painful torture and being tricked by manifestations, Spike is greeted by a heroic Buffy. They escape and return to her house. Giles and Anya visit an Oracle and discover that when Buffy was resurrected, she created a vulnerability in the Slayer chain that The First is now exploiting.

With Spike missing, the gang try to cope and clear the damage done to the Summer’s home. Giles arrives with three potential slayers and he reveals that the ‘First Evil’ is killing off the line of slayers in an attempt to rid the world of good, leaving The Hellmouth free to open. He tells Buffy that there are more potential slayers on their way to Sunnydale. Buffy and Giles search the christmas tree lot where they last discovered the Bringers, Buffy goes underground and is challenged by a very strong vampire who is luckily scared off by the sunrise. Giles confirms that he was a Turok-Han, a vampire which vampires fear. After one of the other slayers gets killed trying to escape, Buffy comes across the Turok-Han once again, it beats Buffy within an inch of her life and remains unharmed. Later on at the Summer’s home, Buffy declares that she isn’t going down without a fight, and neither is anyone else.

Spike is held captive in the Summers home while the Scoobies ponder their options in the aftermath of his murder spree. Willow finds Andrew buying blood and decides to take him prisoner also. After much questioning, the gang are interrupted by mysterious hooded figures called Bringers. They take Spike to Sunnydale High, where they use his blood to raise an old, mysterious vampire.

After discovering that an old friend may have been recently sired by Spike, Buffy informs the gang that they must keep a close eye on him. When Spike manages to go out, he gets put in a mysterious trance and then seduces and kills a girl with the evil morphing entity watching over him. Meanwhile in England, Giles finds a fellow watcher close to death. While he is finding out what happened, a man with no eyes approaches Giles from behind, and swings an axe at his head…
